- We collect only what we need to run your prep: your account details, what you put in your resume and practice, and how you use the site.
- We never sell your data and we don't show ads.
- Your resume text and interview answers are sent to an AI service only to create your feedback.
- Mentors and counsellors see only what they need for your session or call.
- You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data at any time.
1Who we are
CareerPilot AI (careerpilotai360.in) is run by . In this policy, "we" and "us" means CareerPilot AI, and "you" means anyone who uses the website - students, mentors and counsellors.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data you give us.
2What we collect

3How we use it
- To create your account and log you in safely (email and SMS codes).
- To run the features you use - build your resume, score it, run mock interviews, suggest exams and roles, and show your progress.
- To book mentor sessions and have our counsellors call you back at the time you choose.
- To take payments, send receipts and handle refunds.
- To send you messages you need - login codes, booking updates, reminders and replies to your questions. We'll only send offers or newsletters if you agree, and you can stop them any time.
- To keep the site safe (stop spam, fake accounts and misuse) and to fix problems.
- To understand which features help students most, so we can improve them.
We use your data based on your consent (given when you sign up or use a feature) and, where the law allows, for legitimate uses such as meeting legal duties. You can withdraw consent any time - see Your rights. Some features can't work without the data they need.
4AI features
Resume analysis, ATS checks, mock-interview feedback and career suggestions are created by Google's Gemini AI. When you use these features, the text needed for that task (for example your resume text or your interview answer) is sent to Google to create the feedback, and the result is saved in your account.
5Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only in these cases:
- Mentors you book see your name, the booking details, and what you write in that session's chat.
- Our in-house counsellors see your callback request so they can call you.
- Service providers that help us run the site, only for that job: website hosting, Google (Gemini AI, and web fonts), an SMS provider for login codes, an email provider, and a payment partner. They must keep your data safe and can't use it for their own purposes.
- When the law requires it - for example a valid order from a court or government authority - or to protect users from fraud or harm.
- If CareerPilot AI is ever merged or sold, your data would move to the new owner under this same policy, and we'd tell you first.
Some of these providers may store data on servers outside India. We only use providers that protect it properly, and as allowed by Indian law.
6How long we keep it
- We keep your account data while your account is open.
- If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days.
- Payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require, even after you delete your account.
- Security logs are kept for a short time, then deleted.
7Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you can:
- See a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we've shared it with.
- Correct or update anything that is wrong or out of date (most of it you can edit yourself in your Profile).
- Delete your data and account.
- Withdraw consent you gave earlier.
- Nominate someone to use these rights for you if you die or can't act yourself.
- Complain to our Grievance Officer (below). If you're not happy with our answer, you can go to the Data Protection Board of India.
To do any of this, use the Contact page (choose "My data / privacy request") or email [email protected] from the email on your account. We may ask you to confirm it's you before we act.
8Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that the site needs to work: one keeps you logged in, and one protects forms from being misused. We don't use advertising cookies and we don't let ad networks track you on our site.
9Security
We protect your data with secure connections (HTTPS), one-time login codes, scrambled (hashed) passwords, limits on login attempts, and access only for the people who need it. No website is 100% safe, so please keep your email and phone secure and never share your login codes - we will never ask you for them.
If a data breach ever affects you, we'll tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
10Students under 18
CareerPilot AI is meant for students and job seekers aged 18 and above. If you are under 18, please use the site only with your parent's or guardian's permission. If we learn that we have data from someone under 18 without that permission, we'll delete it.
11Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is important, we'll also tell you by email or on your dashboard before it takes effect.
12Grievance Officer
For any complaint about your data or this policy, contact our Grievance Officer. We'll reply within 24 hours to confirm we got it, and try to solve it within 15 days.
